Anna was first taught to fiddle by her mother, Kristin Smith, a violin teacher and concert master of two local orchestras in her hometown. Anna has played in many venues on the West coast both by herself and with the family band, "Homemade Music" which toured England when she was thirteen. She was awarded the highest performing arts scholarship to attend Adelphi University and raised the rest of the money for college by "busking" (playing music on the street) and teaching fiddle lessons. Since graduating, she has played with Worthy Fools, Madison Gerish of Schooley Mountain Band, Gregory Stovetop, Nerd Cabaret and was a part of the band (and ensemble) in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of As You Like It in 2011. Anna composes music for independent films, podcasts, and web series.
